Individual ownership includes a compressor. PEM system, Dewar tank, hydrogen conditioning, power electronics, cooling loop and controls included.
Gross stack power is before auxiliary loads. AC loads require site power conversion. The footprint excludes service access and site utilities.
Connections & cooling
- Four-pin mechanical dock; blind-mate DC, protective earth, 24 VDC control power, supplier CAN and hardwired safety interfaces.
- Dedicated cryogenic fill connection and outdoor hydrogen relief and purge discharge.
- Two 4 in air connections: supply and exhaust. Air requirement: 6,500 NL/min at 0°C and 1 atm.
- Two 1.25 in coolant quick disconnects. Coolant flow: 200 L/min · 52.8 US gal/min. Stack heat rejection: 115 kW.
Fuel system & protection
- Vacuum-insulated 304L stainless-steel Dewar. Maximum envelope: 22 in diameter × 7 ft 9 in length; maximum liquid fill: 95% of tank volume.
- Pumped liquid withdrawal, printed-circuit heat exchange, vaporization and pressure regulation before the PEM stack.
- Continuous capacitive level sensing; independent high-fill and low-liquid switches; pressure and temperature monitoring.
- Hydrogen detection, emergency stop, dock verification, high-voltage interlocks and insulation monitoring.
- Two series fail-closed fuel valves. Safety trips isolate fuel, open high-voltage contactors, disable conversion and require manual reset.
- Controlled pressure-management heater, independent hardwired high-pressure cutout and software limit; dedicated pressure and trapped-liquid relief.
- Stack service requires electrical and fuel isolation, verified purge, lockout and controlled commissioning.

Before choosing a hydrogen fuel-cell generator
Does CELL generate electricity or hydrogen?
CELL generates electricity from supplied hydrogen using a PEM fuel cell. It is not a hydrogen gas generator or electrolyzer. Liquid hydrogen supplies the system; fuel, refill service and site installation are separate from hardware.
What does zero emission portable generator mean here?
CELL has no direct CO₂ emissions during hydrogen fuel-cell operation. Hydrogen production and delivery have separate impacts, so this is not a guarantee of zero lifecycle emissions. Site electrical, air, cooling and vent connections are required.
Can CELL power AC equipment?
CELL 100 has an 800 V nominal DC interface and 100 kW gross stack output. AC loads require site power conversion; delivered output accounts for conversion and site loads. Electrical interfaces for other CELL models must be confirmed separately.
How is a fuel cell different from a battery?
A battery stores energy for later use. A fuel cell generates electricity from supplied fuel. Plan hydrogen supply and refill logistics alongside the power demand and operating hours.
Can CELL provide backup or off-grid power?
Backup power, off-grid power and decentralized power generation require project-specific engineering and a hydrogen fuel plan.
